Whatever the industry, at least one woman is smashing gender norms and making history in it. The basketball team from Bahrain is starting a new chapter in the history of gender equality. And in the case of sports, this is particularly true. Consider Fatima Reyadh, 33, who overcame gender stereotypes to become the first woman to ever coach a men’s basketball team in Bahrain.

She was picked to coach the men’s basketball team in a culture where women participating in sports was frowned upon. Fatima overcame all the challenges and critiques she faced in the beginning and proved her mettle. Her leadership skills were frequently questioned, and it took some time for others to accept her as a coach.

Fatima is the mother of a seven-year-old girl. She started by instructing young ladies in basketball. She also used to instruct young boys until she was hired as an assistant coach at the Al-Najma Basketball Club in Bahrain’s capital city of Manama.

Although Fatima Reyhad holds a black belt in Taekwondo as well, her goal is to lead the men’s basketball team to the national championship. Her involvement in the activity began when she was a young child and used to go with her mother to a women’s basketball club’s headquarters. Her mother was a team coach for the club’s squad. To add to her long list of achievements, a stroll through her IG reveals that Fatima is a very athletic and charismatic person. Apart from basketball, Fatima is also fond of cycling and tennis.

According to reports, Fatima Reyhad said, “It was strange for women to be involved in sports, especially basketball because it was the preserve of men.” She also added that at the beginning of her sports career, she encountered multiple challenges as there was an absence of recognition back then as compared to now.

Seeing a woman defy gender norms and coach a male sports team is such a proud moment for women across the world.

The latest TikTok trend has us listening to brown noise. Wellness fads come and go, but some TikTok video creators who struggle with ADHD, overthinking, and anxiety vouch for their ability to reduce stress.

What is Brown Noise? Is it like Pink or White Noise?

Brown noise, the better-known white noise, and even pink noise are examples of sonic hues. When compared to sounds like music or someone reading aloud, these noises are “continuous” and have little variation in their pitch, highs, and lows.

The pitch is what separates pink noise from white noise (or frequency).

A sound that is evenly distributed across all frequencies is called white noise. The sound is similar to radio static and spans low, mid, and high frequencies.

Less high-frequency sound and more low-frequency sound make up pink noise. Like a constant downpour, it is lower and deeper than white noise.

In comparison to white and pink noise, brown noise has lower frequencies. A rushing river or harsh surf might be heard in the deeper tones.

Can Brown Noise help with stress?

Different people respond differently to outside stimuli. That includes physical contact (like hugs), potent odours, coffee, glaring lights, or loudness.

So, although one individual may find a sound to be calming or pleasant, another may find it to be bothersome.

The advantages of brown noise over white noise have been lauded by TikTokers, particularly those with ADHD. While white noise has been demonstrated to improve verbal working memory and cognitive function in ADHD patients, brown noise’s effects have received less attention in the past.

Some individuals acquire that brown noise works better at calming the mind and promoting concentration and productivity. Some people prefer it to white noise when they want to fall asleep or just for the peaceful impact.

The signing of a deal between the state of Qatar and the Pakistan Army for the provision of security to the next FIFA World Cup 2022, which will be hosted in Qatar in just 90 days, received federal cabinet approval on Monday.

According to Radio Pakistan, the security contingent, which is made up of army officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, and other Pakistani military personnel, departed from Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi.

The action follows the federal cabinet’s approval of a draught agreement in August to send troops at the request of the government of Qatar, which is rumored to be anticipating the arrival of 2.1 million tourists for the tournament and has seen a 13% increase in population in the lead-up to the event.

The choice was made in the same month as Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official two-day trip to Doha, where he sought Qatari financial assistance and investment despite the country’s economic woes. The $3 billion investment in Pakistan’s economy was announced by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). During their visit to Pakistan last month, FIFA’s eight-person training team provided the group with security training.

US, UK, Morocco, and Turkey are just a few of the nations that have made deals with Qatar to send soldiers and train the host country. The Turkish parliament approved a measure last week to send soldiers to Qatar for six months to aid with World Cup security. NATO will also provide protection during the event in addition to the 3,250 security personnel that Turkey is sending. Five counterterrorism-trained police officers will also be sent to Qatar from South Korea, according to Al Jazeera. The UK has additionally declared that it will offer military assistance to “ensure a safe and secure” World Cup.

According to Reuters, the Gulf country has also called up hundreds of civilians for required military duty, including diplomats called home from abroad. They will receive training in managing stadium security lines, patting down spectators, and searching for illegal items like alcohol, drugs, or weapons. The event will start on November 20 and end on December 18, 2022.

What smells “good” varies depending on whom you ask. It could smell spicy, flowery, minty, fresh, or medicinal and antiseptic. Malodors are unpleasant for everyone, on that much we can all agree. Malodors like rotting rubbish, a stinky wet dog, or smelly socks can lead to physiological and psychological stress. Therefore, creating a pleasant atmosphere in our homes is important for everyone’s health.

You can add your favourite scents to your home in several ways that we’ve listed.

Natural Air Fresheners:

Natural ingredients from your pantry can do wonders for scents caused by pets, smoke from cigarettes, or fresh paint.

Vinegar can assist to absorb aromas from cooking and cigarette smoke even if you don’t like the way it smells. Place an open bowl of apple cider vinegar or distilled white vinegar in a corner.

A bowl of baking soda placed in a room will also absorb aromas, just as it does in your refrigerator.

Water absorbs smell and adding fresh lemon slices to water will provide a clean citrus scent.

Fresh coffee grounds when placed in an open bowl, absorb smells while also adding a flavour to the air.

Diffuser sticks:

As the scented solution is wicked up the natural material rods, diffuser sticks gradually add a layer of fragrance. You can purchase room diffusers in many different aromas, or you may create your own using a favourite container, bamboo skewers, essential oil, baby oil, and alcohol.

Scented Candles:

Candles with scents have been used in rituals for ages to promote relaxation and medical healing. These days, we make use of them to set the mood, as decorative focal points, and for aromatherapy.

Make your own candles or pick from a variety of scents. When making your selection, it is best to choose candles made from beeswax, vegetable, or soy wax and those without wicks that contain metal.

Potpourri:

Potpourri gives bowls and containers a decorative appearance and can enhance a room’s odour. You can create your own by collecting natural materials, letting them air dry for a few weeks, and then mixing them with a few extra substances.

Commercial air-fresheners:

Commercial air fresheners can be purchased as plug-ins, gels, candles, aerosol sprays, and pump sprays. They have several odor-eliminating technologies to change the pH of odor molecules and/or odor-trapping technologies to change how we perceive aromas in their formulation.

Simmer pots:

Real estate agents often bake up a batch of cookies or simmer some spices in water to help sell a house because they understand the value of calming aromas. You may accomplish the same technique at home using your preferred herbs and spices.

Just add water to a small saucepan and heat it until it begins to boil. Add your preferred ingredients, and then give them three minutes to boil. Turn down the heat and let the beverage simmer. Every 30 minutes or so, check the water level and top it out as necessary.

Essential oil diffusers:

You can simply choose a commercial essential oil diffuser that matches your home decor because they come in a variety of forms and sizes. Most use an ultrasonic plate to break down the oil into base molecules, then disperse those molecules into the air as an ultra-fine mist using water as a transfer medium.

Effectively reaching your target audience is one of the major challenges you face as a marketer. Getting the appropriate message to the right audience is the core objective of digital marketing. You must learn how to effectively reach your target market if you want to achieve that correctly.

Your effort and money will be wasted if you sell your goods to the incorrect demographic. To promote your products, you must determine how to get in front of your target market. Here are the actions you need to follow to reach your target audience more successfully.

Step 1: Define your target audience:

You must first identify your target audience to reach them. To achieve this, create a consumer persona. A generic description of your ideal customers is known as a customer or buyer persona. To better understand your target audience, you list their preferences and demographic and psychographic characteristics.

Then you can only advertise your company and its goods to people who are really interested in them. As a result, there will be a greater likelihood of leads and conversions. By doing this, you can make more money with less investment.

Step 2: Create useful and relevant content

Providing your target audience with relevant and helpful material is the best method to attract their attention. Your audience will be more receptive to your writing if you write about subjects that they are interested in.

Video marketing – Videos have a very interactive and engaging quality. A high-quality video can quickly grab the audience’s attention.

Blog posts and articles – While written material may not be as effective as movies and photos, it still aids in capturing your audience’s attention. Just be sure the subjects you write about are both interesting to and helpful to your intended audience.

Social media content – Social media platforms are another way to reach your target audience. You can communicate with them more effectively and engage them with a combination of text, graphics, and videos.

Step 3: Influencer marketing

Digital marketers have quickly adopted influencer marketing as their preferred method of advertising. The strength of social media influencers might help you more successfully connect with your target market. You collaborate with influencers in this type of marketing to promote your company to their audiences. Influencer marketing is a highly successful marketing strategy that can assist you in achieving a variety of marketing objectives.

You can contact potential clients who could be interested in your brand or niche by collaborating with relevant influencers from that field. This enables the development of qualified leads and aids in reaching your target market.

Step 4: Use targeted advertising

By implementing tailored advertising, you can more successfully contact your targeted audience. Whether you’re using social network ads or Google ads, each one offers sophisticated targeting tools to help you find your target market. Based on the audience’s demographics, geographic area, and interests, you can target the adverts.

This will guarantee that only people who are likely to be interested in your brand will see your adverts. This means that reaching your target audience, who are more likely to convert than anyone else, doesn’t require you to spend a fortune on advertising.

Step 5: Referral marketing

A referral scheme is used by many companies to increase their clientele and produce leads. You can leverage the strength of your existing clientele to increase your reach by implementing a referral system. You can offer a referral code to your clients and reward them for spreading the word. You may rapidly and cheaply contact your target audience in this manner.

The people that sign up via such a technique might be enthusiastic about your company and its goods. Businesses have benefited from using this technique to expand and build their networks.

Step 6: Use hashtags

Social media platforms are crucial for reaching your target audience because consumers are spending more time on them. However, you must employ hashtags to target potential customers for your brand.

You can increase the audience for your social media material by using appropriate, sector-specific hashtags. Additionally, it will ensure that it is seen by those who could truly be interested in it.

Ramiz Raja couldn’t contain his excitement during the event and compared the initiative with scoring a century on debut at Lord’s.

Raja was quoted saying that “today is a special day for me, I took the charge as the PCB Chairman with some dreams and the pathway cricket programme is surely one of them. It feels like scoring a century on debut at Lord’s.”

Chairman PCB considers this partnership with BRB Group as a “long-term asset-building alliance,” as the junior cricketers who will get monthly stipend and free education will go on to represent Pakistan in future. It is undoubtedly a unique initiative that may help Pakistan bring home several trophies and joy home.

According to a study on Islamophobia conducted by the Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV), India is the country where anti-Muslim content on Twitter is most prevalent.

The ICV, an Australian-based Muslim organization that represents 270,000 members of the community, discovered that 55.12% of the Islamophobic propaganda on Twitter comes from India. 86% of the anti-Muslim tweets were from the UK, the US, and India. Only 14.83% of the hate content was removed during 2017-2019. Comments of politicians can have a “considerable impact on the prevalence of Islamophobia”

According to the study, political commentary can have a significant effect on the prevalence of Islamophobia. Together, three nations were discovered to have posted 86% of the anti-Muslim comments on the micro-blogging website.

While the UN had cautioned last year that Islamophobia has “epidemic proportions,” platforms like Twitter have done nothing to delete such information but have urged the international community to combat anti-Muslim prejudice.

According to the report, the US, the UK, and India produced most of the content from 2017 to 2019. According to TRT World, social media users in India have accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of promoting bigotry and discrimination.

The report also points out that Donald Trump, a former US president, frequently appeared in anti-Muslim tweets. The UK’s anti-Islam sentiment extends beyond social media, as seen by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s casual comparison of Muslim women who wear the niqab to “letter boxes.”

While a smartphone, tablet, or computer can be a very useful tool, excessive usage of these gadgets can have a negative impact on relationships, jobs, and education. It may be time to re-evaluate your technology use if you find that you spend more time on social media or playing video games than you do engaging with actual people.

You may overcome the habit and achieve a better balance in your online and offline lives by using these suggestions.

Put your phone aside one day of the week:

Take active measures to control your cell phone use. Set your phone away one day every week (often a Saturday or Sunday). Make it a habit after that.

Modify the phone’s settings:

One of the most popular suggestions for limiting cell phone use is to change your phone’s settings.

The most typical suggestions are:

Set a longer passcode, use airplane mode, disable notifications, change the screen to black and white, remove distraction-generating apps from your home screen, and enable do not disturb.

Delete addictive apps:

Your likelihood of using your phone decreases with the reduction in the need to glance at it. Consider removing the app that gets the most use on your device.

Try removing certain apps from your phone for a few days, whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, or several games you play excessively. After a few days, if you feel more in control of your phone usage, you might think about reinstalling some of them.

Don’t charge your phone near your bed:

Do you want to know a wonderful way to put your phone away? Don’t charge it in your bedroom.

By keeping your cell phone out of your bedroom, you can avoid many of the side effects of excessive use such as bad sleep and hampered communication.

Make it difficult to use smartphones:

When we keep our gadgets next to our bedside tables, in our purses, or our pockets, we make it far too simple for someone to take them up and start browsing. The theory is that if you give something a little friction or deterrence, people will be less likely to do it.

You can make your device just functional enough to save you the effort of checking it by putting it in another room or locking it away. It might be enough of a deterrent to limit your use if you do something as easy as wrapping your phone in a hairband.

Apps for productivity:

The app gives you the power to change bad habits by giving you the flexibility to set your time limits with features like “alerts,” “take a break,” and “planned breaks.” When necessary, these capabilities can assist you in managing and restricting your consumption.

Get over your fear of missing out:

Learn to accept the possibility of missing out on things. When we check our phones most of the time, we find nothing interesting. Each of us has the ability to rule our own lives. Use your ability to break free from your phone and resume enjoying life.

Apple reportedly urged its suppliers to enhance iPhone manufacturing with the introduction of the iPhone 14 series since the company anticipated high demand during the holiday shopping season. However, it now appears that Apple has gone back on its plans as the company will no longer increase iPhone 14 production soon.

Tuesday’s Bloomberg report stated that the sales of the iPhone 14 are insufficient to support the increase in production. The report says that “an anticipated surge in demand failed to materialize.” Typically, Apple ups its manufacturing at this time of year to match the demand of the holiday shopping season.

According to sources cited in the report, Apple’s initial goal was to produce at least 6 million extra iPhone 14 units by the end of the year. That scheme has now been abandoned.

Recently, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, claimed that Apple had asked Foxconn to produce the iPhone 14 Pro at 10% more. The expert claims that the Pro models are by far the most popular iPhones this year, while sales of the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have been “poor.”

The new phones’ beginning price points of $799 for the iPhone 14 and $899 for the iPhone 14 Plus are quite like those of the iPhone 14 Pro, which starts at $999 and includes a brand-new always-on display with Dynamic Island, a 48-megapixel wide camera, and the new A16 Bionic CPU.

The largest smartphone market in the world, China, is experiencing a severe economic downturn that has impacted domestic producers of mobile devices as well as the sales of the iPhone. According to a Monday report from Jefferies, purchases of the iPhone 14 series during its first three days of availability in China were 11% lower than those of its predecessor the year before.

Additionally, the world’s demand for personal electronics has been restrained by the Ukraine conflict, fears of a recession, and rising prices. According to estimates from industry watcher IDC, the smartphone market is anticipated to decline by 6.5% this year to 1.27 billion units.

Meanwhile, Apple continues to offer the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 at lower costs, which some customers might find more alluring than the forthcoming iPhone 14.
