We always come up with lists of things we fancy but this week we are mixing it up to reflect some of the people and things that have disappointed us.
Zara
Zara has disappointed us with its distasteful campaign mocking death and genocide.
Amal Clooney
Given that Amal Clooney chaired a committee to look into war crimes in Gaza while practicing human rights law, it is disgraceful for her to remain silent about aggression against Palestine.
Malala Yousafzai
Mala is another silent individual who we thought stood for something. She has disappointed us for remaining “neutral” during this time.
The Archies
The Archies proves that nepotism is rife in Bollywood. Apparently, ace director, Zoya Akhtar, gave these star kids one full year of acting training on top of the diplomas they have from their respective acting schools. Even then this movie fails and we dare you to watch more than 30 minutes of it without snoozing.
United States
The United States has vetoed a United Nations Security Council demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza. What a let down by its own rules!
Harvard University
Harvard has let us down by showing intolerance towards students and faculty that protested against Israel.
